Canada Address Format Example For Apartment Buildings

If you're in Canada, you need to follow the correct address format for apartment buildings. The first line of the address should contain the unit number or apartment number, followed by the street name. The next line should contain the city, province, and postal code. In addition, the last line should contain Canada, unless you are mailing to a country outside Canada.

If you're sending a letter or package to a Canadian address, you should make sure to use the right format. An address that doesn't have three lines is not deliverable. For instance, you shouldn't include a company name in a letter to a friend. Rather, you should write the recipient's name in the first line.

The postal code should be in upper case, with a space between the first three characters and the last three. You should also include the province's abbreviation at the end of the address. You can check the address format online by visiting USPS. Once you've entered your address, you can use USPS' address lookup tool.
